This volume accompanies the first international travelling exhibition of the work of Japanese painter Minol Araki. Born in 1928 in the city of Dalian, Liaoning province and trained in traditional Chinese painting by Chang Dai-chien, he masterfully combines Chinese and Japanese ink painting techniques in modern life. This volume illustrates 62 of his finest works in landscapes, lotus, flowers and birds, faces, and miscellaneous subjects, together with his seals.
