Jade culture enjoys a long and unbroken history in China, producing artifacts of excellent craftsmanship and noble beauty. This fine publication is a unique collection of more than a hundred pieces of valuable jade objects from the De An Tang Collection of famous jadecollector, Mr. Charles Tsu-Kwok Ho. Ranging from scholar's studio objects, household objects to decoration, animal figures and archaistic objects, the Collection featuresexquisite items mainly from Qing Dynasty with some from the Qianlong palace. The catalogue accompanies a major exhibition of the same name organized by the Beijng Palace Museum from November 29 to December 20, 2004. Beautifully photographed, the catalogue is edited by Professor Yang Boda, former deputy director of Palace Museum and world-renowned expert in jade.
